His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda arrives in Croatia in April. The initiator of the first Peace Summit in Croatia, held in Zagreb in 2007, will start His four-days tour again in Zagreb with the public lecture: "SPIRITUAL AWAKENING – ANAHAT CHAKRA".
A historic event took place in New Delhi/India, February 5-6, 2007, when Hindu and Jewish religious leaders met for the first time for a two-day dialogue on a range of subjects. His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda also took part in the event as a member of the Hindu delegation. Jewish delegation, led by Israel's Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger, included 20 Rabbis from Israel and the diaspora.
This year's festival is the Ardh (half) Kumbha Mela, but despite of its name it still drew millions of spiritual seekers to the confluence of Ganges, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati rivers. Hindu belief has it that one’s sins are purified by a dip in these holy waters, thereby liberating him.
As hoped for, Guru Punima in Jadan was very special. Thousands of people came together in an atmosphere soaked with joy and devotion. During the two day celebrations, Swamiji constantly gave of himself to all.
On May 22, 2006 His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwaranandaji met with the President of India, His Excellency Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in the President's office in New Delhi.
